About me

Hello! I’m Rachel and I’m an artist, illustrator & designer-maker living in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I’ve been drawing, painting and making things since I was small. I mostly work in watercolours, gouache & pencil with digital illustration / Procreate. Nature & colour are my biggest inspiration, but I really find inspiration everywhere. I’m a Fine Art Printmaking graduate and a regular student at MATS (Make Art That Sells) with the incredible teacher Lilla Rogers.

In addition to freelance illustration, I have a stationery & design business ‘arbee* stationery’ established in 2010, with customers from all over the world, UK stockists & a stall at Belfast’s award-winning St George’s Market. I make illustrated cards, stationery, art prints, paper goods, and homewares.

Past projects include editorial for regional magazines, packaging, branding, event & exhibition design, theatre & costume design. Clients include Belfast City Council, Lisburn City & Castlereagh Council, Armagh City Council, Invest NI, East Belfast Enterprise, Hastings Hotel, Panasonic & many independent UK & Irish businesses and private commissions.

I love endless cups of tea, museums, books, music, pottering in the garden with my husband and our cat, being by the sea or in the mountains, all things Japanese & new art supplies – heaven!

If you have a commission, project or collaboration in mind, I’d love to hear from you. Get in touch on my Contact page.

I’m currently seeking representation.
