About me

Hi, I’m Rachel, a freelance illustrator from Northern Ireland. I grew up by the sea, live in the city and dream of moving to the country. I used to share my cosy studio with the oldest cat in Ireland, and am currently seeking my next furry studio assistant.

I graduated in Fine Art (Printmaking) where I discovered my deep love of colour while specialising in silkscreen printing. I work in pencil, gouache, watercolour & digital illustration. Happiest working in florals, nature, portraits, places and patterns, hand-lettering and design for paper + product design, but I’m always open to explore new projects outside my comfort zone – where the magic often happens!

I never leave home without my sketchbook, and you can usually find me near trees, flowers or the sea, listening to podcasts, in a bookshop or museum. If the kettle’s on, mine’s an Earl Grey tea please.

If you have a project, commission or an idea you’d like brought to life, email me at racheldevlinart(at)gmail.com or via my contact page or say hello on Instagram: @racheldevlinart
