Illustrated candle collection

I love being able to finally share a project I’ve been having to keep under wraps for whatever reason. This packaging design and this commission was so lovely and so exciting for me that it was definitely a challenge not to share! This was for the illustration & design for a series of candles for lifestyle shop & online store, Linen & Latte in Belfast.

Teresa from Linen & Latte was an amazing creative director to work with for creating the packaging for her first candle collection. Every candle – there are 5 in the series – has a story very close to Teresa’s heart, and all these stories were to be woven into the illustrations and packaging. We spent a good few hours going through all the details she wanted me to pay close attention to for each candle scent.

I also worked on all the packaging design, keeping very on brand for Linen & Latte with a classic brown kraft label for the simple cardboard tube, and white ink print on the dark amber glass.

The candle scents were all created by Teresa with the chandler she worked with, and yes – the greenhouse candle does smell just like a greenhouse with freshly growing tomatoes!
