Georgian Christmas Project

Last week I was sent some wonderful photographs of my work that I’m excited to share. In November 2020, I worked with my lovely friend & very inspiring creative director Mags McAlpin on a Christmas project for the historic Georgian city of Armagh in Northern Ireland. The brief was to create winter illustrations of Armagh’s Georgian buildings & landmarks for use on window vinyls for all the city centre Christmas shop windows. The illustrations were also to be used for lanterns in one of the city’s cobbled lanes.

I really enjoy drawing buildings so these elegant, beautiful buildings full of period character were an absolute joy. It was different but really interesting working to only white & to the specifics required for printing on clear vinyl which was new to me. I worked closely with Mags under her direction on the artwork, and when the images came through of what Mags & the printers had created, I was blown away by how magical it was!

When I received the photos, it was very snowy here in Belfast so it felt perfectly festive to be seeing the snowy scenes again!
